As someone who has reached and/or passed the sixth decade of your life do you sometimes feel that no one listens to you anymore? Don't they know that your 60+ years of experience give you an insight into what makes the world go around and you've got a lot to bring to this game called life? Well, being an opinionated guy, I believe what I think matters in the scheme of things and people should listen to what I have to say. Do I expect them to agree with me on everything? No way, but at least hear what I have to say?
Currently, I write columns for two newspapers... one in Florida and one in West Virginia, for the purpose of letting people know my perspective on what's happening in this society we call America. Being a political junkie, much of what I write is pure venting on the fun and games going on in our nation's capitol and state legislatures around the country. I also like to give people a look into my world as a retired person enjoying the good life in a Paradise-on-Earth retirement community in Florida. Some who have read that verbiage have said it is sometimes humorous... I just call it fun. All articles I write will be archived on this site so those who wish may access them at anytime and add even more wisdom to your already swelling supply of knowledge.
Also, as this site evolves, I'll be looking for web sites that are relevant to people who have reached this magic time of life called "Seniorhood," and I'll add a link to those pertinent web sites as I come across them. So, if you have a favorite web site you would like to share, send me a note with the link and if it is appropriate, I'll add it to the collection.
As the subtitle of this site indicates, "Your Forum on the Web," I'm also going to try something new. As soon as I get the technical bugs removed I'll be interviewing and digitally recording some folks, just like you, getting their opinions on current affairs, both National and International, and making those recorded interviews available on this site in the "Podcast" area. I sure hope you take some time to listen to the interviews as they become available and send me a note with your comments. You might even want to be interviewed yourself and add your voice to the archives. And every once in a while, I'll be putting up a survey so I can get your input on current affairs and those issues that you feel affect you the most. Those survey results will be made available as well if you want to take a look at them.
